Software Engineer (.Net)

Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer at the company, you will have complete ownership of stories on customer implementations, working across the full stack to deliver amazing experiences for the Life insurance industry. Your responsibilities will include:- Building highly scalable distributed solutions to enable positive user experiences and measurable business growth- Developing new features and infrastructure to support rapidly emerging business and project requirements- Ensuring application performance, uptime, and scale, while maintaining high standards for code quality and application design- Working with agile development methodologies, adhering to best practices, and pursuing continued learning opportunities- Participating in all aspects of agile software development, including design, implementation, and deployment- Providing guidance on building end-to-end systems optimized for speed and scale- Engaging with inspiring designers and front-end engineers, and collaborating with leading back-end engineers to create reliable APIs- Utilizing technologies like .NET, Angular/REACT, Java Script, SQL Server, Postgres, etc.- Bringing at least 3 - 6 years of industry experience in working and building large-scale software applications- Demonstrating experience in building web applications, designing and integrating RESTful APIs, and having knowledge of Angular/REACT and Java Script- Showcasing excellent debugging and optimization skills, as well as experience in unit/integration testingPreferred skills and qualifications for this role include:- Holding a Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, or engineering- Showing interest in learning new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies- Possessing professional certificationsThe company, Verisk, has been the leading data analytics and technology partner to the global insurance industry for over 50 years, delivering value through expertise and scale.
