Software Engineer Level 3 - Front end

Role Overview:As a passionate level 3 front-end engineer at Costco Wholesale, you will be part of the Global Digital Experience (GDX) team, working on solving complex problems at a global scale. Your role will involve designing, building, debugging, optimizing, and implementing solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment. Costco values its employees, fosters a culture of innovation, and offers genuine opportunities for technical and career growth.Key Responsibilities:- Designing the Website Platforms Front end architecture, focusing on availability, reusability, interoperability, and security- Developing, debugging, optimizing, and automating activities to support product/application implementation- Implementing engineering best practices to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions- Using test-driven development practices to detect defects early in the development process- Collaborating with the product team on feature/story grooming- Participating in scrum ceremonies and maintaining coding standards, architectural patterns, and development processes- Conducting peer code reviews and defining specifications and documentation across all phases of product development- Managing implementation tasks, estimating progress, and reporting on tasksQualifications Required:- 8 years of experience with ReactJs, Typescript, HTML, CSS3- 1 years of experience with NextJs- Hands-on experience in JavaScript and React concepts, advanced front-end coding skills- Expert level understanding of progressive web applications- Experience with React Testing Library, Jest, debugging, and performance testing- Experience working on building scalable cloud-native architecture and CI/CD- Proficiency with Storybook.js, Chromatic, responsive layouts using CSS, and client-side application bundling- Ability to integrate 3rd party APIs, REST, GraphQL patterns, and optimization- Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and ability to work under pressure- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fieldAdditional Company Details:Costco Wholesale is a multi-billion-dollar global retailer with operations in eleven countries, providing a wide selection of quality merchandise and exclusive member services.
