Software Security Architect 4

Job Description

As a Software Security Architect 4 at Hyland Software, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the companys products and services by ensuring secure design, rigorous testing, and proactive vulnerability management. Your responsibilities will include:- Providing clear guidance and mentorship to ensure software and test engineers understand secure software development practices and how to identify insecure code. You will leverage data to monitor the effectiveness of these practices and update them as needed.- Driving the use of threat modeling for the products in scope, reviewing threat models, and providing guidance on appropriate tools and techniques. You will also create or contribute to system level threat models.- Reviewing determinations of security findings and serving as the primary approver for determination of Not Exploitable for Critical and High severity Findings for assigned products.- Monitoring the status of vulnerability remediation for adherence to company specified SLAs for remediation timelines.- Providing guidance on review and approval of Risk Acceptance requests for vulnerabilities that will not be remediated within target SLAs.- Regularly reviewing and validating the effectiveness of security verification tools to ensure consistent application.- Serving as the primary contact for security-related questions for assigned products and coordinating with SMEs as needed.- Fostering and participating in a community of security best practices within the company to promote a culture of security.- Operating as a trusted advisor on security issues and trends, providing general secure development consulting services and mentoring team members.- Working across time zones with US, India, and EU based teams and complying with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices.Preferred Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field- Minimum of 8 years of progressive security architecture experience- Minimum of 8 years of application security experience- Understanding of security vulnerabilities and remediation methods- Strong familiarity with common languages and tools used in Microsoft stack based web and API applications- Excellent oral and written communications skills- Experience working across time zones and strong interpersonal skillsIn addition to the challenging and rewarding role, Hyland Software offers a range of benefits to its employees, including opportunities for learning and development, a focus on cutting-edge technologies, work-life balance, well-being initiatives, community engagement, diversity & inclusion programs, and various niceties & events.If you are passionate about technology, dedicated to your work, and value honesty, integrity, and fairness in the workplace, consider joining Hyland Software.
