Job Description

Role Overview:You will play a crucial role as a Specialist UX Designer in balancing user goals, business requirements, and technical feasibility to deliver simple and elegant designs for digital products within Amgens Global Supply Chain Analytics Team. Your responsibilities will include leading the design process from concept through execution, collaborating with cross-functional teams, mentoring and guiding designers, and continuously iterating designs based on user research, data analysis, and feedback.Key Responsibilities:- Lead design discussions with product managers and business leads to define user requirements and design goals.- Provide design leadership, guidance, and mentorship to designers, communicating business requirements and user needs clearly.- Collaborate with developers to create and implement technically feasible design solutions while ensuring an optimal user experience.- Contribute to UX strategy and understand the long-term roadmap for tools and platforms.- Design UX flows for data products, dashboard interfaces, and operational tools on various platforms like React, Angular, Tableau, and GenAI.- Create annotated prototypes and wireframes to visually and textually communicate software application behavior.- Design conversational experiences and UI workflows integrated with natural language and analytics assistant.- Utilize Figma for wireframing, prototyping, and visual designs.- Track design tasks using JIRA, update status, and handle workflows.- Maintain a user-centered design approach, ensuring simplicity, elegance, intuitiveness, and adherence to best practices and accessibility guidelines.- Communicate design ideas and prototypes effectively to key customers and team members.- Stay updated with the latest design trends, techniques, and AI developments for enhancing user experience.- Engage in design critiques, share designs, and provide feedback to teammates.- Adapt to a fast-paced environment and learn new tools and methods quickly.Qualifications Required:- Doctorate Degree OR Masters degree with 8 - 13 years of experience in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, IT, or Supply Chain OR Bachelors degree with 8 - 13 years of experience in relevant fields OR Diploma with 8 - 13 years of experience.- Proficiency in design and wireframing tools like Figma, hand drawing, whiteboarding, and visual communication.- Experience in developing responsive desktop, web, and mobile applications.- Deep knowledge of UI/UX best practices, accessibility standards, and design patterns.- Ability to lead design workshops, update designs based on feedback, and mentor designers effectively.- Familiarity with Figma design systems and utilizing components within Figma.Additional Company Details:No additional details provided in the job description.
