Sr Associate Finance

Job Description

As a Sr Associate in Finance at Amgen, you will play a crucial role in financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. Working closely with the finance manager and other team members, you will contribute to making informed financial decisions. Your responsibilities will include:- Providing financial support to various company functions with monthly and quarterly expense forecasting- Conducting cost analysis such as cost per unit, cost of goods manufactured, and variance analyses- Assisting in annual budgeting and long-range planning- Developing SAP standard costs and setting up material master for make items and raw materials- Leading month-end accounting and reporting processes- Generating performance measurements to support management reporting and cost analysis- Collaborating with cross-functional teams and supporting site objectives- Conducting business studies on financial performance and developing analytical models- Supporting transformational initiatives through automation and financial processes improvements- Assisting in special projects and providing support for business clients and FP&A leadership- Participating in internal and external audit processesQualifications required for this role:- Bachelors degree and 4 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or related fields- Relevant experience in financial planning and analysis, accounting, and manufacturing industry- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail- Experience with SAP or other large ERP systems, consolidation tools, and Hyperion planning system- Effective communication and interpersonal skills- Proficiency in MS Office systems, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, and visualization tools- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines- Prior work experience in biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical industry would be advantageousJoin Amgen in transforming the lives of patients and advancing your career in the field of Finance.
