Staff CPU Power Management Firmware Developer - Limits Management

Job Description

As a CPU Power Management FW Developer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will work with a team to enable the power management solution for Qualcomms custom CPUs. Your main responsibilities will include collaborating internally to define and implement embedded firmware for managing the CPU subsystems operation within power and thermal budgets. You will also play a key role in characterizing and tuning the solution for all Qualcomm SoCs using Qualcomm custom CPUs.Key Responsibilities:- Drive the firmware design, implementation, and verification in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments.- Assist in defining limits management solutions for future generations of Qualcomm CPUs.- Engage with open-source communities to contribute support for processor architectures, device drivers, and firmware features.- Help identify skills requirements and participate in hiring engineers, collaborating with other teams on platform bring-up/debug/diags, firmware lifecycle, etc.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field with 4 years of Software Engineering or related work experience, or Masters degree with 3 years, or PhD with 2 years.- 2 years of work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C, Java, Python, etc.Preferred Qualifications:- BS/MS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 8 to 12 years of experience in embedded firmware development.- Self-starter with technical leadership qualities.- Proficient in writing and debugging C and assembly.- Experience in driver development in RTOS or OS Kernel environments.- Development experience with embedded OSes such as Zephyr, eCos, uC/OS or FreeRTOS.- Experience in developing for pre-silicon environments including simulators and FPGA emulation.- Experience in developing, characterizing, and tuning solutions for power limiting and thermal limiting for an SoC subsystem will be a plus.- Familiarity with ARM v8 architecture. Development experience for an ARMv8 platform is a plus.
