Job Description

As a Senior Java Developer at Broadridge, you will be responsible for the following:- Designing, developing, modifying, adapting, and implementing short- and long-term solutions to technology needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems, and applications infrastructure.- Reviewing system requirements and business processes; coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and implementing software solutions.- Providing application software development services typically in a defined project.- Developing program logic for new applications or analyzing and modifying logic in existing applications.- Ensuring that system improvements are successfully implemented.- Testing new software code and typically working in a highly efficient ( Agile ) development environment.Qualifications Required:- 7 to 10 years of experience with strong proficiency in Java (Core and Advanced).- Hands-on experience with JSP, Spring Framework (Spring MVC / Spring Boot), and JPA/Hibernate.- Strong knowledge of DB2 with proven experience writing queries and stored procedures.- Experience in building and consuming Web Services (SOAP and REST APIs).- Solid understanding of front-end technologies: JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XML.- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.- Experience with version control systems (Git).- Experience with JavaScript frameworks/libraries such as Angular and jQuery.- Exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Maven/Gradle).- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.In this role, you will apply a theoretical knowledge base to work to achieve goals through your own work. You will be characterized by specific functional expertise typically gained through formal education. You may provide guidance to others as a project manager using technical expertise. This position requires in-depth knowledge and experience, using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
