Job Description

As a Test Engineer 3 at Hyland Software, your role will involve designing and implementing test strategies to ensure the delivery of high-quality software. You will collaborate with engineering teams to define, document, and analyze tests for Design System components and software modifications. Your responsibilities will include:- Developing and maintaining complex integration, functional, and non-functional tests across teams- Leading the implementation of the delivery pipeline, including test automation frameworks, build environments, test environments, and security- Verifying system functionality through automated and manual tests, analyzing results, and providing recommendations- Serving as a trusted advisor on test issues and trends, identifying and implementing better test tools and automation methodology- Analyzing and reporting test results, monitoring trends, and providing guidance for continuous improvement- Mentoring, coaching, and providing feedback to team members- Researching complex escalations for production issues- Completing peer code reviews for test automation code and incorporating feedback- Influencing and leading standards and processes within the team- Assessing the business value and impact of software changes- Complying with corporate and departmental privacy and data security policiesBasic Qualifications:- 6 years of experienceRequired Competencies:- Proficient in Playwright- Familiar with Javascript and Typescript fundamentals- Basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS selectors, Design Patterns, and Clean Coding principles- Familiarity with Web Accessibility, GIT, and testing best practices- Ability to investigate test failures, identify issues, and report valid problemsPreferred Competencies:- Familiarity with writing tests for Angular and Angular Material applications- Basic familiarity with Node Js, Nx ecosystem, Github Actions, and Workflows- Documentation skillsMinimum Qualifications:- BS or MS in Computer Science or related field- Experience with test lifecycle, methodologies, and tools- Experience in software application testing and automation- Significant experience with test design, source control systems, build environments, and scripting tools- Strong communication, organizational, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills- Ability to work independently and in a team environment- Strong attention to detail and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment- Strong desire to learn and stay current professionallyHyland Software offers a supportive culture with employee engagement at its core.
