Job Description

As a Data Analyst, your primary responsibility is to leverage Microsoft Power BI, MS Excel, or Sales Force to analyze data and provide valuable insights to the Product Support organization. You should possess a combination of technical skills, business acumen, and analytical abilities to effectively use these tools and drive data insights supporting informed decision-making within the function. Your role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders within Product Support and cross-functional teams across the RealPage organization.**Primary Responsibilities:**- **Data Analysis:** Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources to ensure data quality and accuracy for analysis.- **Dashboard Creation:** Develop interactive and visually appealing dashboards and reports using Power BI to present data in a meaningful and easy-to-understand manner.- **Data Visualization:** Utilize Power BIs visualization tools to create charts, graphs, maps, and other visual representations to convey data insights effectively.- **Report Generation:** Design and generate standard and ad-hoc reports for different stakeholders within the organization, addressing their specific requirements.- **Data Modeling:** Design and implement data models to structure and optimize data for efficient analysis and reporting within Power BI.- **Data Integration:** Integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI, ensuring data from different systems can be combined and analyzed together.- **Data Interpretation:** Analyze data trends, patterns, and outliers to derive valuable business insights and support data-driven decision-making.- **Performance Optimization:** Identify and implement performance improvements for Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure faster loading times and better user experience.- **Automation:** Automate data refreshes and report generation processes to keep data up-to-date and reduce manual effort.- **Collaboration:** Work closely with business stakeholders and data teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective Power BI solutions.- **Training and Support:** Provide training and support to end-users to help them understand and effectively use Power BI to access and analyze data.- **Data Security:** Ensure data security and access controls within Power BI to protect sensitive information.- **Troubleshooting:** Diagnose and resolve issues related to data sources, data transformations, and report performance.- **Staying Updated:** Continuously keep up to date with the latest Power BI features, best practices, and industry trends to improve the quality and efficiency of data analysis and reporting.**Qualifications:**- A bachelors degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Data Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.- Minimum 3 years experience in a data analysis and visualization role.- Minimum 2 years experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar applications (MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc.).You should have strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization techniques, the ability to leverage data for actionable insights, and in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI or similar applications. Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail are crucial for this role. Additionally, being physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings, as well as the ability to work extended hours when needed, are important aspects of this position.
