VP, Agile Program Manager

Job Description

As the Vice President, Agile Program Manager at Synchrony, you will play a pivotal role in leading strategic initiatives across multiple agile release trains, cross-functional teams, and external vendor partners. Your primary focus will be to ensure alignment across business and technology stakeholders, drive program-level execution, and foster a culture of transparency, collaboration, and continuous improvement to accelerate the speed to market of new capabilities with a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) mindset.**Key Responsibilities:**- Lead large/enterprise agile initiatives using Scaled Agile Methodology- Manage cross-functional resources throughout the agile lifecycle- Collaborate and manage dependencies across various teams and stakeholders- Plan and communicate program status, milestones, and issue resolution with key stakeholders- Establish an operating rhythm for effective communication through metrics, dashboards, and reports- Track progress, risks, impediments, and manage escalations to ensure initiatives stay on track- Drive adherence to standardized practices and processes across teams- Coach leaders and teams in lean agile practices and mindset- Maintain focus on PI priorities, identify and remove waste and distractions- Develop relationships with cross-functional teams and advocate for empowered and continuously improving teams- Perform any other duties or special initiatives as assigned**Qualifications/Requirements:**- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 8 years of overall experience, or equivalent experience of 10 years without a degree- Minimum 5 years of technical or infrastructure support experience with management responsibilities in financial services or banking industry- Minimum 5 years of experience in Agile methodology (SAFe/Non SAFe)- Experience in People and Vendor management- Strong leadership and decision-making skills- Proficiency in Agile methodologies and practices- Flexibility to work early Eastern hours (~2 PM ET)**Desired Characteristics:**- Strong knowledge of Scaled Agile Framework and experience leading complex initiatives- Business acumen in financial services processes and practices- Track record of executing critical business initiatives- Enthusiastic about working with cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge features- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage expectations effectively- Hands-on, self-motivated professional with strong prioritization skills- Experience in financial management and leading teams in a matrixed environmentBy meeting the eligibility criteria of having a Bachelors Degree with at least 8 years of overall experience, or 10 years without a degree, you can apply for this VP, Agile Program Manager role at Synchrony.
