Job Description

As a Networking & Hardware Support Engineer at our company, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the smooth operation of our network and hardware systems. Your responsibilities will include:- **Network Infrastructure Management**: Installing, configuring, and maintaining network devices like routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure optimal performance and security.- **Hardware Support**: Overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer hardware, including servers, workstations, and peripheral devices.- **Technical Support**: Providing timely assistance to end-users for network and hardware-related issues, documenting incidents, and tracking them using ticketing systems.- **System Monitoring**: Proactively monitoring network performance and hardware health to identify and resolve potential issues and minimize downtime.- **Collaboration**: Working closely with software development and IT teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with application requirements and performance standards.- **Documentation**: Maintaining detailed records of network configurations, hardware inventories, and support activities.- **Training & Mentorship**: Assisting in training junior IT staff and end-users on best practices for hardware and network usage.To qualify for this role, you should have:- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.- Minimum of 4 years experience in a networking and hardware support role, preferably within an IT services environment.- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network, Cisco CCNA, or equivalent.- Proficiency in network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), hardware troubleshooting, and familiarity with network monitoring tools.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex hardware and network issues.- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Preferred qualifications include advanced certifications like Cisco CCNP, CompTIA Security, experience with virtualization and cloud platforms, knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks, and industry knowledge in software development or IT services company with a focus on infrastructure support.In terms of compensation and benefits, we offer a competitive salary based on experience, health insurance, paid time off, professional development opportunities, and a collaborative work environment.,
