Job Description

Element8, a creative digital agency with a base in Dubai and operations in Calicut, specializes in web & app development, digital solutions, and aims to deliver innovative work to clients.**Role Overview:**As a Junior QA Engineer at Element8s Calicut office, you will be part of the QA team responsible for ensuring high-quality software products like websites, mobile apps, and APIs. Your role involves collaborating with development, design, and project teams to define test scenarios, execute tests, report findings, and enhance QA processes. This position is suitable for individuals early in their career who are eager to learn, detail-oriented, and keen on growing in QA and software testing.**Key Responsibilities:**- Review product requirements, specifications, and design documentation for feature understanding.- Develop and maintain test cases and plans for new functionality and regression testing (manual).- Conduct functional, regression, integration, usability, and interface tests.- Log defects clearly in the bug-tracking tool with steps to reproduce, environment details, and severity.- Collaborate with the development team to reproduce issues, verify fixes, and conduct retests.- Report test results, provide status updates, and effectively communicate risks and blocks.- Identify opportunities to enhance QA processes, test coverage, and automation.- Ensure products meet quality standards regarding performance, security, and responsiveness.- Work with designers and developers to ensure UI/UX requirements are met across browsers and devices.- Maintain test environments, set up and clean test data, and prepare for releases.**Required Skills & Qualifications:**- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.- 6 months to 2 years of experience in software QA/Testing (manual) preferably in web or mobile applications.- Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA life cycle.- Hands-on experience in writing test cases, executing tests, and logging bugs.- Basic knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, HTTP, and REST APIs.- Familiarity with various browsers, devices, and platforms for cross-browser/device testing.- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.- Ability to work on-site in Calicut, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and meet deadlines.- Willingness to learn new tools, techniques, and potentially work with automation frameworks (bonus).,
