Job Description

    As a dedicated and experienced Cadet with 6 months to 1 year of sea experience, you will play a crucial role in assisting senior officers and crew in the daily operations onboard the vessel. Your responsibilities will include performing duties related to deck maintenance, navigation, and safety procedures. It is essential to ensure that all required documents, certificates, and logs are updated and maintained while adhering to maritime safety regulations and company policies. Additionally, you will provide support in operating ship equipment and machinery as needed and participate in routine drills and safety exercises to maintain a safe environment.To qualify for this position, you must have 6 months to 1 year of sea service as a Cadet on board a commercial vessel. Company loyalty is a key requirement, as you must have completed the last two contracts with the same company and have no gap of 2 years or more between sea-going service periods. Ensuring that all necessary maritime certificates, documents, and medical fitness certificates are up to date and complete is essential. Immediate availability for joining upon selection and meeting the required medical fitness standards are also necessary qualifications.Desired skills for this role include a strong knowledge of safety protocols and maritime laws, the ability to work effectively within a team, good communication skills, and fluency in the required language.
