Job Description

    1. Meeting with expectant mothers for prenatal visits and providing care for normal and problematic pregnancies.2. Provide nursing services to female patients and newborns with illnesses.3. Provide nursing services in childbirth issues.4. Obtain medical history of patients and communicate to the consulting physician.5. Assist gynecologists and obstetricians in treating mothers and newborns.6. Instruct and counsel female patients in preventing illnesses affecting childbirth.7. Educate and counsel female patients on birth control and safe practices.8. Educate women on pre-natal care issues.9. Provide nursing care in delivering babies.10. Manage mothers and newborns through clinical and nursing care services.11. Coordinate with other nurses and clinical staff in treating newborns and mothers.12. Early & timely assessment of the patient to detect any complications.13. To take over patients at the patients bed side and the details of the ongoing treatment from previous shift nurse properly.14. To provide the emergency medical supplies in the ward and periodically monitor their expiry date.15.
