Job Description

    JD- D.M. Indirect PurchaseJob PurposeThe role holder is responsible for on-ground implementation of purchase strategy & activityand for ensuring optimal supplier performance and price & that the function operates in linewith the objectives of the business to add value and mitigating procurement risk, deliver costsavings, and report directly to seniors in the teamIndustry:- Sheet metal, Welded parts, Machining parts, Plastic parts & other consumable items.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategicResponsible for reporting, on ongoing management of purchasing strategy &activity, to head of department and for ensuring optimal supplier performanceand priceFinancialEnsure optimizations of purchase expenses for the category of items assigned byimplement measures for year on year reduction in purchase costsTechnicalDevelop and Maintain supplier relationships, contracts, contractual relationships& management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods andservices by the supply base under the guidance of seniors in the team.Electrical consumables like MCB, Limit Switch, Contactor, Tube light, Power cables etc.Mechanical seals, bearing s etc.Oil & Lubricants.Diesel / Kerosene / LPG etc.Wire lubricants for wire drawing plant.Pneumatic items like Festo, SMC, Legries etc.Consumables for PDC machine.Procurement & Repair of weighing scale, paper shredder, RO etc.Special Assignment given by HOD.Adhere to the purchasing policy, process, guidelines, any associated documentsand take ownership for timely receiving suppliesAccountable to work for reduction in Instances of material being rejected onreceipt/ at point of consumption due to quality issues and the value of rejecteditems/ Total value of items orderedValidate purchase requisitions received from users and enquire with vendorsDetermine areas of probable improvement for reducing the manual effort andautomation of the purchase processes and working on those areasCreate purchase orders in accordance with company policy and negotiated termsand conditionsOrder materials as per negotiated and appropriately approved priceTrack and follow up with vendor for timely delivery of materialinvoicesIdentify self-developmental needs and undergo relevant technical and behaviouraltrainingOtherThe work already being done by the employee currently, shall continue to beperformed by the respective individualUndertake other activities and initiatives to meet business requirements as per thediscretion of the directorsQualification:- B.tech Mechanical with min. 12 to 15 years exp.Salary up to 13 lacs,
