Job Description

    As an ETP Operator based in Madurai within the O&M department, you are required to have a minimum of 2 years of experience in this role. Your qualifications may include ITI, Diploma, or any Degree. This is a full-time position where you will be responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP) following standard operating procedures.Your duties will involve monitoring and controlling flow rates, pH levels, TDS, COD, BOD, and other process parameters. You will be handling chemical dosing and maintaining the chemical inventory for the ETP. It is essential to keep detailed operational logs and report any abnormalities to the supervisor. Regular checks and preventive maintenance of ETP equipment such as pumps, blowers, aerators, and filters are also part of your responsibilities.Proper sludge disposal and coordination with vendors if needed are crucial tasks. Ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and company policies is a key aspect of the role. You will be expected to support online pollution control board portal data entry and maintain compliance documents. Additionally, assisting in internal and external audits related to ETP operations will be part of your responsibilities.Key skills required for this position include hands-on experience in ETP operations encompassing aerobic, anaerobic, STP, biological, and chemical systems. Knowledge of pollution control norms and ETP functioning, along with basic chemical handling safety, is necessary. The ability to identify equipment faults and initiate corrective actions, as well as proficient record-keeping and report generation skills, are also vital for this role.This is a full-time job with benefits such as Provident Fund.
