MerchandisingAs a dynamic and experienced professional in the field of merchandising, your role will involve overseeing end-to-end order execution, maintaining customer satisfaction, and ensuring profitable operations. You will be required to possess strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to effectively manage customer relationships and operational challenges.Your key responsibilities will include:Customer and Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, management, and internal departments. Serve as the primary contact for customer communication and updates on orders. Share customer updates and requirements with internal teams, including HR, Quality, and Production.Sample Development and Presentation: Stay updated on market trends and develop samples aligned with customer requirements. Collaborate with the CAD team for precise marker and budgeted costing. Ensure timely submission of samples incorporating all specifications and customer feedback.Order Costing and Negotiation: Develop accurate and competitive costing to secure profitable orders. Use strategic, negotiation, and tactical skills to meet customer price expectations while ensuring business benefits.Order Planning and Execution: Coordinate with production and sourcing teams to validate feasibility before order confirmation. Plan and execute orders with minimal risk and maximum profitability. Monitor production schedules and resolve any delays or issues promptly.Sample Approvals and Quality Checks: Ensure timely approvals for all samples before production. Verify lab and quality reports to meet customer requirements.Preproduction and Production Oversight: Conduct preproduction meetings and address any order-related concerns. Track production progress against plans and collaborate with departments to address any deviations.Shipping and Delivery Coordination: Pass booking details to the shipping team at least 10 days before shipment. Ensure timely container availability and smooth coordination with customer QAs for inspections.Risk Management and Problem Solving: Foresee and mitigate risks related to fabric, accessories, capacity, or delivery delays. Maintain contingency plans (Plan B) to tackle unforeseen challenges effectively.Post-Cost Analysis and Reporting: Maintain records of post-cost analysis for all shipped orders and update the Directors. Escalate unresolved issues to the Directors for guidance and resolution.Responsible Sourcing and Customer Programs: Monitor responsible sourcing activities in factories. Collaborate with HR and other departments to implement customer programs or initiatives.Other Responsibilities: Perform additional tasks assigned by management.
