Job Description

    The Sales Manager - Modern Trade position requires a hands-on individual who excels in the field environment. The primary focus of this role is to ensure visibility, availability, and sales at modern trade outlets, in addition to engaging in institutional activations such as IT parks, colleges, schools, vending setups, and canteens. Your key responsibilities will include overseeing the placement, stocking, and promotion of products in stores and high-footfall institutions within six major cities (Madurai, Tirunelveli, Trichy, Dindigul, Chennai, and Vellore).It is important to note that this role entails frequent travel across the designated cities as a part of your regular routine.As a Sales Manager - Modern Trade, you will be tasked with driving product visibility and availability at modern trade outlets including retail chains, supermarkets, and key accounts. Building and nurturing strong relationships at the store level and coordinating with distributors are also crucial aspects of the role. Moreover, you will be involved in supporting institutional activations at various locations such as IT parks, colleges, schools, hostels, and vending/canteen partners. Additionally, your responsibilities will extend to coordinating and facilitating festive/seasonal B2B orders at institutional points, executing in-store promotional activities, and ensuring compliance with planograms, stock flow, and promotions. Providing regular ground-level insights and feedback to internal teams will be an essential part of your role, along with overseeing execution from POSM placement to visual audits and day-to-day operations.The ideal candidate for this position should possess at least 2 years of on-ground sales experience in FMCG or modern trade retail. A passion for tackling real-time challenges in the market, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build strong relationships are key attributes we are looking for.
