Job Description

    As a Logistics Specialist (Manager) at Tata Electronics Private Limited, your role involves managing and overseeing the end-to-end import, export, in-land transport, and logistics processes for sensitive semiconductor equipment, ODC cargo, utilities, gas, chemicals, other direct/indirect materials, and finished goods products. Your responsibilities include ensuring seamless operations, compliance with relevant Indian and international trade laws, IATA DGR, customs regulations, and safety standards, particularly those related to hazardous materials. You will be coordinating activities between suppliers, customers, logistics partners, licensing authorities, and regulatory bodies.Your essential attributes will include:- Establishing logistics processes for inbound and outbound semiconductor equipment, utilities, gas, chemicals, and finished goods products transportation from global and domestic locations.- Planning, coordinating, and monitoring inbound and outbound logistics activities.- Managing transportation and logistics across multiple 3PL sites, ensuring timely and accurate product delivery.- Identifying potential risks in the supply chain and possessing a strong understanding of Indian regulations concerning import and export of hazardous chemicals, gases, and chemicals.- Analyzing logistics workflows and KPIs to implement cost-saving and process improvement initiatives.- Managing reverse logistics.Qualifications:- A preferred Bachelors degree in Engineering or an equivalent field is advantageous, along with experience in the logistics and supply chain management field.Desired Experience Level:- Minimum of 12-14 years of proven experience in import/export operations, preferably within manufacturing sectors. Experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus.- Experience in greenfield projects is a plus.- Extensive knowledge of ODC cargo, gas and chemical logistics, Indian import and export regulations, international trade laws, Incoterms, and compliance requirements, particularly for hazardous materials.- Strong understanding of international logistics, 3PL management, inbound/outbound logistics, and freight forwarding.- Excellent negotiation and communication skills for liaising with stakeholders globally.- Proficiency in using MS Office Suite, ERP systems (e.g., SAP), and potentially specific logistics/trade compliance software.At Tata Electronics Private Limited, you will be part of a company committed to creating a socioeconomic footprint by employing many women in its workforce and supporting local communities through various initiatives in environment, education, healthcare, sports, and livelihood.
