Quality Assurance Analyst (Level 2)

Job Description

As a QA Analyst - Level 2 at Blutic, you will be responsible for manual and automation testing of data solutions such as SSIS, SSRS, and SQL Server. Your role will involve collaborating with Senior Developers and offshore teams in an Agile / Kanban environment. This is a 100% long-term remote opportunity with a requirement to work in a 9-hour shift between 11am-11pm IST, overlapping 3-4 hours with the Pacific time zone.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Test Planning & Execution** - Design and execute test cases for ETL processes (SSIS), reports (SSRS), and SQL databases. - Perform data validation using complex SQL queries to verify source-to-target mappings. - Document defects in Jira and track resolutions through collaboration with developers.- **Automation & Tooling** - Develop and maintain basic automation scripts using tools such as Selenium, Python, or client-approved tools. - Contribute to CI / CD pipelines for regression testing using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. - Identify opportunities to automate repetitive manual tests.- **Collaboration** - Work closely with offshore developers to reproduce and troubleshoot defects. - Participate in Agile ceremonies like sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups. - Maintain test documentation in Confluence (or a similar repository) for knowledge sharing.- **Compliance & Process Improvement** - Adhere to clients QA standards and security protocols like VDI and MFA. - Suggest improvements to testing processes to enhance productivity.**Required Skills & Qualifications:****Technical Skills:**- **Core Skills Required:** - 4 years of experience in manual and automation testing of ETL / data warehouse projects (SSIS / SQL Server). - Advanced SQL skills including joins, subqueries, and data profiling. - Experience with test automation using tools like Selenium, Postman, etc.- **Nice-to-Have:** - Exposure to Snowflake, API testing, or Power BI validation. - Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps.**Soft Skills:**- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.- Ability to work independently in a remote offshore model.- Clear communication skills to collaborate effectively across different time zones.**Education & Experience:**- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.- Certifications such as ISTQB or Microsoft SQL are a plus.- Experience in financial or healthcare domains is preferred.
