Job Description

Accountabilities Activities

  1. Support development and implementation of HSE Management Systems and processesSupport development of standards, procedures HSE systems to ensure consistent performance across all Projects.Facilitate interaction on key HSE topics and issues.Track Critical HSE activities, ongoing projects and decisions to keep it on schedule.Coordinate HSE workflow and scheduling review meetings with relevant EPC and PMC contractors and ADT teams.
  2. Provide support and guidance for solving HSE related issues & carry out periodic safety/compliance inspectionsIdentify hazards and Implement control measures to reduce risk as per hierarchy of controls through standards and procedures.Provide HSE inputs for projects, modifications and improvements.Support the HSE integration across different constituents of the energy business / value chain.
  3. Support Process safety reviewsParticipate and provide HSE inputs for Hazop studies.Participate and support the Fire and Explosion, QRA and SIL studies for new projects.Prepare SOPs for prevention of injury to personnel and damage to plant/ equipment.
  4. Process Hazard Analysis (PHA)Should have a good technical knowledge of HAZID, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, QRA, FERA, Relief sizing, F&G mapping studies.Develop requirements for risk assessment studies for various stages of the project including conceptual, Pre-FEED, FEED, Execution and commissioning.Conduct and Support the timely completion of studies and their identified actions.
  5. Control of Changes / Pre-start-up safety review (PSSR)Ensure adequate management of change process through various stages of project implementation.Develop and review Pre-Startup Safety Review checklists and participate in PSSR reviews.
  6. HSE Training and Communication program to increase HSE awarenessAssess HSE training needs and develop training modules on occupational health and process safety topics for identified focus groups.Ensure adequate training in PHA and presence of adequate number of PHA leaders.Facilitate an effective HSE communication program.
  7. Environment Management systemEnsure schemes suggested from Process Safety Studies or Hazard Analysis have no adverse environmental impacts.Ensure Environmental rules and related regulatory requirements as identified in the EC and various statutory bodies are complied.
  8. MIS : Coordinate and provide analysis, insights, inputs and information as required to enable timely decision and to achieve business plan objectives.To coordinate with stakeholders and prepare MIS/Reports.To assist in making presentations for external and internal meetings.To prepare key inputs and backup materials for HSE site visits, inspections and audits.Support in management of administrative details in all activities/projects.Update and chase delegated tasks to ensure progress to deadlines.
Qualifications
  1. Should hold a valid bachelors degree in any Engineering (B.E / B.Tech)
  2. Any masters degree would be an added qualification (optional)
  3. Any recognised international professional qualifications like CSP / NEBOSH (optional)
  4. Degree/Diploma in industrial Safety from an accredited institute
  5. Certified as HAZOP / PHA leader
  6. Training certification in Process Safety (optional)
  7. Training certification in PHA/SIL/QRA/HIRA (optional)
