Accounting Manager

Job Description

****As an Accounting Manager based in Pune location for the Financial Shared Services team, you will be responsible for managing service delivery for accounting and reporting processes according to IAS/IFRS standards. Your key responsibilities will include:- Leading and managing the accounting team for tasks such as Balance Sheet reconciliations, MIS reporting, and Month-end closing.- Preparation and filing of statutory financial statements under local GAAP and IFRS.- Ensuring statutory compliance in the India region by coordinating with tax and legal functions and external audit provider.- Providing accounting guidance to the team on day-to-day accounting matters.- Ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and control environment.- Monitoring process performance through appropriate KPIs and metrics, sharing reports with senior management and the team.- Driving continuous improvement in productivity and service quality.- Ensuring resources, capabilities, and capacity meet business demands.- Providing problem management support for high-profile customer issues, conducting root-cause analysis, and implementing corrective action plans.- Promoting team-working, knowledge sharing, and shared services capability.- Assisting with planned ERP implementation and international expansion in the region.**Qualifications Required:**- Must be a Chartered Accountant with additional qualifications being an added advantage.- Seasoned accounting professional with over 6 years of experience.- People and team management experience is essential.- Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards - IAS and IFRS preferred.- Good understanding of Indian compliance in financial reporting and taxes.- Experience in ERP implementation is beneficial.- Experience in a shared service model is advantageous.- Ability to identify process and internal control weaknesses for improvement.- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and effective communication. **Company Overview:**Alfa Laval, founded in 1883, is a world leader in heat transfer, separation, and fluid handling technologies.
