Job Description

    Role Overview:You will be responsible for conducting accurate and timely valuation of financial instruments, establishing valuation methodologies, monitoring market conditions, and providing valuation insights to support financial reporting, risk management, and business decisions.Key Responsibilities:- Develop and maintain valuation methodologies for various financial instruments, implementing appropriate valuation models based on instrument characteristics and market conditions.- Manage valuation process for the banks trading portfolio, including regular valuations and approval of valuations by colleagues.- Analyze market data to assess valuation inputs, assumptions, and potential risks.- Prepare and review valuation reports, support in regulatory filings and financial statements.- Provide valuation insights to traders, risk professionals, and senior colleagues, identifying areas for improvement in methodologies and processes.Qualifications Required:- Any accounting background related qualification.- Experience in transformation-related roles.- Six Sigma or other comparable solution-oriented qualifications.- Passion for driving change and interest in automation.- Interpersonal and communication skills.Additional Details:Join Barclays as an Analyst - Product Control Valuations, where your role is part of the Product Control projects team. You will work closely on identifying and delivering end-to-end solutions for manual problems in Month-end reporting. Your role is pivotal in aligning with the overall change aspiration for the bank and looking at the reporting architecture holistically. This will involve liaising with line teams to understand their work, identify gaps, and help automate and transform processes for creating efficiencies and scalable solutions. At Barclays, the focus is on creating the future rather than just anticipating it.This role is based in the Pune office.
