Job Description

    As an Assistant Financial Controller at Citco in Pune, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the day-to-day accounting activities of the Finance function at the HYD location. Your responsibilities will include:- Accountable for the month-end process, ensuring all deliverables and reporting requirements are met- Reviewing balance sheet accounts and reconciliations at month-end- Supervising the preparation of financial statements and reports- Managing the annual tax processes and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as TDS and GST- Handling both internal and external audits- Maintaining a healthy cash flow for all legal entities under your scope- Engaging with other Finance functions to ensure seamless flow of information between teams- Liaising with Tax and Legal departments to maintain legal documentation and requirements- Managing the relationship between the shared service center and local offices for monthly reporting and corporate processes- Implementing new processes and procedures in adherence with group policies- Developing strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external- Mentoring and developing the finance team members- Handling ad hoc duties/projects as requested- Demonstrating experience in dealing with auditors and consultants from Big 4- Experience in maintaining good relations with bankersQualifications required for this role include:- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or business- Qualified chartered accountant with strong technical accounting skills- At least 8 years post-qualification experience in finance and accounting within an operational environment- Minimum of 3 years experience in running a controller function with a team size of approximately 2-3 staff- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel- Working knowledge and experience with Oracle/ERP is an advantage- Experience providing services to entities operating in Indian jurisdiction- Self-starter with a proactive and problem-solving approachCitco values your wellbeing and success.
