Role Overview:At PwC, as a seasoned software engineer, you will be tasked with redesigning the application from a monolithic architecture to a microservices-based architecture in an efficient and scalable manner. You will own the application migration from the current platform to a data-driven streaming platform.Key Responsibilities:- Redesign the application from a monolithic architecture to a microservices-based architecture efficiently.- Own the application migration to a data-driven streaming platform.- Be autonomous, motivated, and self-driven.- Collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders as a team player.- Focus on enhancing customer experience and ensuring on-time delivery.- Communicate effectively with peers and stakeholders.- Demonstrate accountability, commitment to quality work, and readiness to face challenges.- Plan, prioritize, and effectively manage individual and group activities.- Possess hands-on experience in Java 8/Python.- Design and develop applications using Spring/Guice.- Work on Spring Boot web service (Rest Service) in a microservice-based architecture.- Apply design patterns and develop solutions and algorithms.- Experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices is a plus.- Familiarity with NoSQL DBs such as Couchbase and MongoDB is beneficial.- Knowledge of any Message Queue, such as Kafka, is advantageous.- Exposure to OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus.- Understand Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs) and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD).- Prior experience in the airline domain is a bonus.- Require 4 to 9 years of experience in analyzing, designing, and developing software systems in Java.Qualifications Required:- Hands-on experience in Java- Experience in designing and developing applications using Spring/Guice- Experience in Spring Boot web service (Rest Service) in a microservice-based architecture- Good understanding of design patterns and ability to design solutions and algorithms- Experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices (preferred)- Experience with NoSQL DBs like Couchbase and MongoDB (preferred)- Experience with any Message Queue, specifically Kafka (preferred)- Exposure to OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes (preferred)- Good understanding of Non-Functional Requirements (NFRs)- Good understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CICD) Role Overview:At PwC, as a seasoned software engineer, you will be tasked with redesigning the application from a monolithic architecture to a microservices-based architecture in an efficient and scalable manner.
