Role Overview:As a seasoned software engineer at PwC, you will lead the design and execution of platform migration from monolithic to microservice-based architecture. Your main responsibilities will include redesigning the application for efficient and scalable microservices architecture and owning the migration to a data-driven streaming platform.Key Responsibilities:- Redesign the application from monolithic architecture to microservices architecture effectively.- Lead the migration of the application from the current platform to a data-driven streaming platform.- Collaborate effectively with relevant stakeholders in the division as a team player.- Strive for customer experience and on-time delivery while being autonomous, motivated, and self-driven.- Communicate effectively with peers and stakeholders, articulating knowledge and having critical conversations.- Demonstrate accountability, commitment to quality work, and readiness to face challenges.- Plan, prioritize, and effectively own individual and group activities.- Utilize hands-on experience in Java 8/Python, Spring/Guice, Sprint Boot, web services, and microservice-based architecture.- Apply good understanding of design patterns to design solutions and algorithms.- Leverage experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices.- Utilize NoSQL databases like Couchbase and MongoDB, and knowledge of message queues like Kafka.- Expose yourself to tools like OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, and understand non-functional requirements (NFRs) and continuous integration and continuous deployment (CICD).
