Job Description

As the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in a high-growth start-up environment based in Pune, you will play a crucial role in leading the financial strategy and operations to drive scalable growth and long-term profitability. Your responsibilities will include:- **Financial Strategy & Planning:** - Developing and executing the companys financial strategy aligned with business objectives. - Leading annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning. - Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and Board on mergers, acquisitions, investments, and capital allocation.- **Capital Management & Fundraising:** - Overseeing capital structure, debt financing, equity raises, and investor relations. - Managing relationships with banks, financial institutions, venture capital, and private equity firms. - Optimizing working capital and cash flow management.- **Risk Management & Compliance:** - Identifying and mitigating financial, operational, and regulatory risks. - Ensuring adherence to SEBI, RBI, FEMA, and Companies Act regulations. - Implementing robust internal audit frameworks and SOX-like controls.- **Team Leadership & Development:** - Building and mentoring a high-performing finance team across accounting, FP&A, taxation, and treasury. - Fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and data-driven decision-making.- **Business Partnership:** - Collaborating with COO, CTO, and department heads to drive cost efficiency and operational excellence. - Supporting pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and profitability analysis.**Qualifications Required:**- Chartered Accountant or proven experience in the matter.- 10 years of progressive finance leadership experience.- 3 to 5 years as CFO or VP Finance (A plus if in manufacturing or metal manufacturing industry).- Proven track record in fundraising.- Experience in the India market.- Deep expertise in Indian taxation, transfer pricing, and cross-border financial structuring.- Advanced proficiency in ERP systems, BI tools, and financial modeling.- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and big-picture thinking.- Strategic and results-driven mindset.- English communication skills are a must.In addition to the above, the company encourages a culture of continuous learning and development.
