Job Description

    Role Overview:As a critical member of Avalaras Corporate Communications team, you will support internal and external communications for the rapidly growing operations in India. Reporting to the head of business communications in the U.S., you will collaborate to develop and implement communication strategies and tactics in India.Key Responsibilities:- Support written communications for Avalaras General Manager of India operations, including emails, talking points, scripts, and presentations.- Partner with Avalaras extended Corporate Communications team and PR agency partner in India.- Contribute to the India public relations strategy and support the execution of the public relations plan in the region.- Prepare spokespeople for media opportunities and staff media briefings when necessary.- Coordinate, plan, and execute internal stakeholder meetings with partners from various departments.- Communicate achievements, company culture, and India perspectives to the global Avalara audience.- Assist in developing and implementing technical solutions for employee communications and collaboration challenges.- Devise methods for gathering and sharing employee sentiments and feedback.- Participate in planning and executing Avalaras annual company meeting and India Town Halls.- Occasionally write content for India social media channels.Qualifications Required:- 10 years of experience in companies with a globally dispersed workforce, with a preference for internal and external communications experience.- Strong written and editorial skills, including impeccable English grammar and editing skills.- Proficiency in MS PowerPoint, Google Documents, Slack, Zoom, and email.
