Role Overview:You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining custom WordPress plugins, themes, and APIs to meet dynamic business requirements. Your role will also involve writing clean, efficient, and maintainable PHP code, integrating third-party APIs and services seamlessly, collaborating with cross-functional teams, optimizing applications for performance and security, troubleshooting technical issues, and staying updated with emerging trends in PHP, WordPress, and cloud technologies. Knowledge of the EdTech domain is a strong plus as you will contribute to impactful projects.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain custom WordPress plugins, themes, and APIs.- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable PHP code adhering to industry standards.- Integrate third-party APIs and services seamlessly into WordPress-based systems.- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, frontend engineers, and QA teams to deliver high-quality software.- Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and security in production environments.- Utilize AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, etc.) for hosting, deployment, and scaling.- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues promptly.- Participate in code reviews, mentor junior developers, and contribute to improving coding standards.- Stay updated with emerging trends in PHP, WordPress, and cloud technologies.Qualification Required:- Educational Background: Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).- Experience: 3-5 years- Technical Skills: - Proficiency in PHP 7 and object-oriented programming. - Hands-on experience with WordPress plugin development and customization. - Strong command of MySQL, database design, and optimization techniques. - Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery. - Familiarity with PHP frameworks like Laravel or CodeIgniter (preferred). - Working knowledge of AWS services for deploying and managing applications. - Version control with Git and experience with CI/CD pipelines. - Good grasp of REST APIs, JSON, and API integrations. - Awareness of secure coding practices (XSS, CSRF, SQL injection prevention).(Note: The additional details of the company provided in the job description have been omitted for brevity.)
