Job Description

As a Finance & Accounting professional at Cencora, your role is critical in managing end-to-end accounting, financial reporting, statutory compliance, and internal controls. Your responsibilities include:- Owning monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and close process- Leading statutory, tax, and internal audits to ensure compliance with SOX and internal controls over financial reporting- Managing direct and indirect tax compliance, payroll accounting, and statutory compliance- Ensuring strong balance-sheet controls, reconciliations, and cash flow management- Managing fixed asset accounting, capitalization, and physical verification- Overseeing accounts payable, vendor reconciliations, statutory/vendor payments, and travel & reimbursements- Ensuring compliance with RBI, MCA, FEMA, labor laws, and other regulatory compliances- Driving process improvements, controls, and reporting quality- Serving as the primary Accounting and Finance point of contact for senior leadership- Supporting Intercompany billing and collection activitiesQualifications & Experience:- Chartered Accountant (CA) certification required- 1215 years of experience in financial accounting and controllership with at least 3 years in a senior controllership or finance leadership role- Strong knowledge of Indian tax, regulatory, and compliance requirements- Experience with ERP systems and internal controls- Public accounting experience at a Big 4 firm is strongly preferred- Excellent verbal and written communication skills- Stakeholder Influence: Necessary for engaging with local/global leadership, local auditors/advisors, and regulatory bodiesThis role at Cencora offers the potential to grow to a regional controller role of South-Asia, making multi-region experience an advantage.
