Job Description

    As an Inventory Manager, your role involves monitoring current and projected inventory levels across the network to ensure alignment with financial targets and inventory entitlement. You will be responsible for identifying reasons for deviation and driving corrective actions. Additionally, you will participate in S&OE meetings to report inventory progression for ME and MPS visibility. Your key responsibilities include:- Preparing and aligning inventory expectations and FC for the monthly FC process- Running inventory scenarios in Kinaxis based on S&OE/RCCP inputs and aligning with network planners- Being accountable for product segmentation/assortment update for inventory planning purposes in consultation with Network planner and SIOP- Setting inventory parameters for finished goods in DC/plants and raw materials/sub-assemblies in plants as per expected service levels in core systems- Monitoring DC and plant service levels and adjusting safety stock and other parameters- Leading cross-functional teams to drive inventory reduction projects and reporting monthly status- Simulating impacts of inventory policy changes on total inventory levels across the network- Providing planning decision-making support to Network Planners and Network Schedulers- Conducting root cause analysis on pain points and recommending improvements/corrective action plans- Evaluating exceptions/scenarios in inventory based on inventory health- Monitoring and maintaining inventory-related master data parameters- Tracking E&O/slow-moving inventory and taking actions for improvement- Generating MIS reports related to daily inventory & receipts, Tier 4 metrics, >8 weeks inventory analysis, E&O, ageing, DOH, water tank, etc.- Working on materials management processes and driving improvement projects- Willingness to learn Kinaxis from a super user perspective & train materials management users as neededIn terms of qualifications, you should be an Engineering Graduate or Post Graduate, preferably with an MBA in Operations/Supply Chain/Materials/Production, and have 7 to 12 years of relevant experience in Inventory Management, Material Planning, and supply chain management. Possessing CPIM, CSCP, or PMP certification would be an added advantage.Your skills should include a solid understanding of SIOP, Material planning, Inventory Management, MRP, and demand/supply challenges. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Advanced Excel and Power Point presentations, is essential. Hands-on exposure to ERP systems, preferably SAP, is required. Additionally, familiarity with Power BI, SQL, and PowerBI query building would be beneficial. Being technology-savvy with knowledge of Kinaxis RR is also advantageous.Your excellent communication, collaboration, networking, and presentation skills will be instrumental in working on projects with stakeholders from different geographies. Strong problem-solving, strategic thinking, drive for results, and influencing skills are key to succeeding in this role.
