Java Backend Engineer

Job Description

As a Java Backend Engineer at Deutsche Bank in Pune, India, you will play a crucial role in architecting, designing, and developing application code to address business problems. Your responsibilities will include actively participating in architecture design, investigating issues, proposing solutions, and promoting re-usability of existing components. Additionally, you will assist junior team members and guide them as needed. Knowledge of the Trade finance domain will be beneficial for this role.Key Responsibilities:- Demonstrate solid software engineering skills by designing and delivering highly functional, robust, and scalable code- Utilize design patterns, test-driven development (TDD), and behavior-driven development (BDD) to create reliable and easily supportable software- Lead the development of source code for all software components in alignment with detailed requirements and design- Contribute to Agile ceremonies and collaborate with end-users, technology, and operational functions- Verify and resolve review findings, integrate software components, conduct unit and integrated software testing, and track code changes through the change management process- Provide release deployments, manage maintenance of applications, fix software defects/bugs, and analyze code quality- Collaborate with Functional Analysts and QA, mentor other developers, and provide Level 3 support- Create necessary project documentation and recommend improvements to Java application processes and performance- Be willing to learn new Java technologies as requiredQualifications Required:- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent- 4-8 years of relevant work experience- Hands-on experience in software development, design, architecture, and source code management- Proficiency with Java 8, Spring Boot, Kafka, React JS/Angular JS, J2EE, and other related technologies- Experience with CI/CD using Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and Google Cloud Platform is a plusAbout Deutsche Bank:Deutsche Banks Corporate Bank division is a leading provider of cash management, trade finance, and securities finance.
