Job Description

As a Mechanical Tech at our company, you will be responsible for various tasks including preparing 3D models in Autodesk Inventor, finalizing Mechanical BOMs, and releasing drawings/BOM in Enovia. You will also be involved in defining Busbar layout and design changes in coordination with the Plant Mechanical Technician engineering team.Key Responsibilities:- Understand customer requirements for switchboard bus layout and prepare 3D models in Autodesk Inventor- Finalize Mechanical BOMs and release drawings/BOM in Enovia- Act as Mechanical Tech for assigned work & ECR/ECO to Pune team- Coordinate with Plant Mechanical Technician engineering team to define Busbar layout & design changes- Control engineering documentation and models using engineering change orders within a product data management system- Work closely with engineers to ensure accurate interpretation of customer supplied order information- Support assembly teams in resolution of process and/or information quality problems- Develop complex Busbar assembly models & drawings and BOM based upon established product designs- Identify and design special fabricated parts required using ACAD and 3D CAD modeling systems- Create or edit bills of material to ensure correct material demand requirements- Load electronic copies of all required manufacturing information into ENOVIA- Follow Mechanical design technical standards of Switchboard product line- Follow drawings nomenclatureQualifications Required:- Bachelors/Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering- 6 to 8 years of work experience in Switchboard and switchgear- Experience in low voltage and medium voltage switchgear- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, Enovia, and other Engineering/Business software applications- Knowledge of IEC/UL standards, 3D modeling, PLM, ERP system- Project management experience- Good communication skillsPlease note that being a model of inclusion & diversity is embedded in our values and vision.
