Senior Accountant, Accounting Compliance

Job Description

As a Finance Specialist at this company, you will be responsible for the following key tasks:- Perform monthly finance period end GP accrual tasks with high efficiency and accuracy. Control GP accrual accuracy and completeness to ensure financial result accuracy.- Perform BS reconciliation for assigned accounts. Effectively follow up with the upstream team to ensure aged items are cleared timely.- Analyze and pre-check abnormal revenue cost items to ensure timely correction before PE closing, maintaining the accuracy of the financial result.- Support Area business and finance team in business performance reporting and reason analysis for the movement.- Perform, monitor, and review monthly risk internal control. Review internal control deficiencies findings and follow-up to ensure internal controls compliance and timely implementation.- Prepare annual audit requests with high data quality and efficiency.- Demonstrate good communication and stakeholder management skills to build collaboration within internal and cross teams to achieve the expected results.The company, Maersk, is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds without regard to various characteristics protected by law.Qualifications required for this role include:- Bachelors degree or higher with a finance background.- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting and reporting roles.- Familiarity with IFRS accounting standards.- Finance experience in the container logistics and forwarding industry is preferred.- Working proficiency in SAP system and Microsoft Excel.Additionally, possession of finance certificates such as ACCA/CPA/CMA is a plus.
