Job Description

    As a Senior Accountant at Mastercard in the AP region, your role will involve providing Controllership-related support for EDB cash grant claims. You will collaborate with the RHQ Controllership team on month-end closing, quarterly reporting, rebates, and incentives support, as well as compliance-related reporting activities. Your analytical and independent mindset will be crucial as you work with cross-functional teams across the organization to ensure accurate financial reporting.Key Responsibilities:- Provide support for EDB cash grant claims and collaborate with other Controllers and the RHQ Controllership team for month-end closing and reporting requirements.- Ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly indirect tax filings for MAPPL, coordinating with external service providers.- Assist the RHQ Controller with Rebates and Incentives support.- Participate in ad hoc projects requiring financial support.- Manage multiple tasks simultaneously with strong organizational skills.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree in Accounting/Finance or equivalent with at least 7 years of relevant work experience; CPA/CA preferred.- Strong knowledge of financial principles, US GAAP, and IFRS.- Proficiency in MS Excel, with preferred skills in MS Access, Oracle financial systems, ADI, and Hyperion.- Ability to work independently, follow up on time-sensitive issues, and communicate effectively across different geographies and cultures.- High accuracy in handling sensitive information, ability to work under pressure, and problem-solving skills.In addition to your role responsibilities, you will be expected to adhere to Mastercards security policies and practices, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of accessed information. It is essential to report any suspected information security violations or breaches and complete mandatory security trainings as per Mastercards guidelines.
