Senior Android Developer

Job Description

As an Android Engineer at GlobalLogic, you will be working on a significant software project developing M2M / IoT 4G/5G modules for industries such as automotive, healthcare, and logistics. You will be responsible for firmware development, implementing new features, ensuring compatibility with the latest telecommunication and industry standards, and analyzing customer requirements.**Key Responsibilities:**- Analyze requirements and collaborate with architects and senior engineers to produce thoughtful software designs.- Work creatively with UI/UX teams to provide requirements traceability from definition to implementation.- Participate in peer reviews and pull requests to ensure high-quality software.- Adhere to coding standards to create reusable code.- Write unit tests and interface with Product Owners and Scrum Masters for ticket/issue management.- Create complex views interacting with network and data layers.- Lead large refactors/design improvements and work across multiple scrum teams for implementing new features.- Participate in technical assessment, scoping, and management of changes to the code base.- Estimate work, support project plan creation, and report progress to functional management.- Present software concepts, designs, or code in design review forums.- Contribute to technical discussions and maintain platform-specific software knowledge.**Qualifications Required:**- 6 to 8 years of experience as an Android Engineer.- Native experience with Kotlin.- Excellent understanding of design principles and implementation of MVVM for Android.- Expertise in RESTful services, APIs, and JSON file format & parsing.As part of GlobalLogic, you will experience a culture of caring, continuous learning and development, interesting and meaningful work, balance, flexibility, and a high-trust organization.
