Senior Back End Developer - Java Cloud

Job Description

Role Overview:You will be responsible for writing well-designed, testable, efficient, high-quality code base using industry standard software development practices, primarily focusing on Java. You will also have exposure to multiple web development technologies such as NodeJS and C#. Your role will involve integrating data from various back-end services and databases, gathering and refining specifications and requirements based on technical needs, and creating and maintaining software documentation.Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate closely with groups in and outside the development team to analyze, design, develop, and unit test web applications and tools with high quality and on schedule.- Obtain a thorough understanding of the customer, partner, and internal business to ensure the software meets the necessary requirements.- Independently analyze needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develop technical specifications to address them.- Turn ideas and concepts into carefully designed and well-authored code, articulating the interdependencies and the impact of design choices.- Lead team code review and code management, developing and improving code management procedures to ensure well-groomed, predictable results.- Influence groups in and out of the development team to achieve successful outcomes, such as QA, Product Management, SaaS Operations, UE, and Tech Pub.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors degree or higher education in Computer Science preferred, or equivalent professional experience.- Minimum 6 years of experience in developing software and enterprise applications.- Proficiency in object-oriented design and development with languages such as Java.- Good understanding of emerging and traditional technologies including Java, REST, JSON, XML, NoSQL databases, Relational databases, and AWS or Other Cloud Infrastructure.- Exposure to .NET/C#, Node.js, or Python is a plus.- Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.- Expertise and hands-on experience with Web Applications Designing & programming languages.- Strong grasp of security principles as they apply to web applications and knowledge of HTTP/S and web-based application architecture.- Demonstrated ability to deliver working solutions on a tight schedule, with strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
