Senior Data Analyst - Credit

Job Description

As a Senior Analyst in Data Science and Analytics at our company, you will be responsible for supporting the development of credit risk management and business intelligence analytic solutions through consulting engagements and research serving our clients. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and tools to enhance agility and innovation in your work.Key Responsibilities:- Partner with internal and external cross-functional teams to drive new business initiatives and deliver long term value-added product propositions for our B2B customers globally.- Develop predictive risk management and business intelligence solutions for credit card issuers, auto & mortgage lenders, collections agencies, and retail banks.- Contribute to analytic engagements involving descriptive and prescriptive analysis through the consumer lending portfolio lifecycle using techniques such as segmentation, scenario analysis, and sensitivity analysis.- Design and write programs for data extraction, segmentation, and statistical analysis on large population datasets using languages such as R, Python, SQL, Hive, and Spark on server and cloud-based computing platforms.- Foster a high-performance culture and cultivate an environment that promotes excellence and reflects our brand.Qualifications Required:- Bachelors (4-year) degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or another highly quantitative field.- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.- Strong programming skills with proficiency in a statistical language such as R; experience with other programming and data manipulation languages preferred (SQL, Hive, Pig, Python, C/C, Java); familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments effectively.- Ability to travel 10-20%.- 6 months of professional experience/internships performing analytic work in Financial Services or related industries.- Familiarity with credit bureau data and business practices.- Experience with Tableau or other visualization tools.- Advanced skills using Excel formulas, macros, and pivot tables to provide detailed analytical reports.- Experience with modern big data frameworks (Hadoop, Spark, cloud).- Experienced working in a company with a global presence.In addition, we offer a modern computing environment based on best-in-class big data and cloud computing technologies, workplace flexibility, and opportunities for professional growth through support of tuition reimbursement, conferences, and seminars.
