Senior Engineer, Product Design Engineering

Job Description

As an engineer at HUSCO, you will be part of a fast-paced and entrepreneurial organization where you will work within an engineering team. Your main responsibilities will include supporting the organization by applying standard engineering principles to various assignments. You will collaborate with customers and the global engineering team to develop innovative hydraulic control system solutions. Under the guidance of the Manager and Director of Engineering, you will work independently on projects to ensure that results meet established needs and goals.**Key Responsibilities:**- **Product Design & Development:** - Design new products using standard engineering principles and calculations. - Maintain and manage engineering documentation such as drawings, BOMs, and specs. - Utilize 3D modeling tools like Creo 9.0 for design purposes. - **Analysis & Simulation:** - Use tools like ANSYS Fluent, CFX, Maxwell, and Creo Simulate. - Perform various simulations including structural, CFD, magnetic, and system-level. - Analyze and optimize designs based on simulation results.- **Testing & Validation:** - Define testing goals and build test cases. - Monitor product performance and suggest improvements. - Conduct hands-on testing and provide technical assistance to technicians.- **New Product Introduction (NPI):** - Lead NPI activities at HUSCO Pune. - Coordinate with cross-functional teams for successful product launches.- **Project & Program Management:** - Plan, schedule, and control projects to meet quality and performance goals. - Support continuous improvement post-launch.- **Communication & Documentation:** - Communicate project status and performance to stakeholders. - Prepare and review technical documentation.As for the qualifications required for this role:**Qualifications Required:**- Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or related discipline.- Bachelors with 4 to 6 years of experience, or Masters with 3 to 5 years of experience.- Experience in new product development and applying core engineering principles.- Proficiency in simulation software and knowledge of hydraulic components and applications.**Nice to Have:**- Experience with Windchill 12.0.- Knowledge of IFS (ERP System) and Six Sigma Principles.- Awareness of ISO 9001:2015 and 14001:2015 Standards.- Ability to work on research projects and direct technicians in research applications.
