As a Senior Kotlin/Quarkus/Open API Developer at EY, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the clients needs. Your responsibilities will include:- Designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and efficient service APIs and backend platform components using your Kotlin, Quarkus, and Open API skillset.- Implementing RESTful APIs and integrations with various third-party endpoints.- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.- Writing high-quality, maintainable, and efficient code following industry best practices.- Performing peer code reviews, documentations, and providing constructive feedback to team members.- Demonstrating experience in unit testing to ensure code quality and reliability.- Troubleshooting and debugging applications to optimize performance.- Staying updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to enhance development processes.- Providing guidance to fellow team members to adhere to industry practices to deliver clean code while keeping performance in check.- Fostering teamwork, collaboration, and leading by example.- Managing people and stakeholders by closely interacting with clients and internal stakeholders.Experience required for this role:- 6 to 10 years of professional experience in software development.- Proven experience in developing applications using Kotlin and Quarkus.- Strong understanding of RESTful API design and implementation.- Familiarity with microservices architecture and cloud technologies.- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).- Experience in setting up continuous integration processes and automated unit/UI testing.- Experience with OpenAPI for API documentation and design.Must-have skills for this role:- Proficiency in Kotlin programming language.- Strong knowledge of Open API specifications and tools.- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).- Understanding of Agile scrum methodologies and software development life cycle.Nice-to-have skills include:- AWS/Azure or any cloud exposure.- Experience with Quarkus framework for building Java services.- Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.- Familiarity with front-end technologies (e.g., React, Angular).- Exposure to tools JIRA, Bitbucket, Sonar.- Experience with service testing frameworks and methodologies.By joining EY, you will become part of a global team that aims to build a better working world by providing long-term value for clients, people, and society, while building trust in the capital markets.
