Job Description

You will be joining CDM Smith as a Senior User Interface User Experience Designer in the Digital Engineering Solutions team. Your role will involve designing and implementing cloud-based solutions for CI/CD pipelines, ensuring collaborative work between software development and operations teams. As a critical thinker with a proactive approach and keen interest in new technologies, you will contribute to AEC initiatives using cutting-edge technologies. Your responsibilities will include:- Creating low-fidelity and high-fidelity wireframes for projects- Collaborating with Business Analysts, Project team members, and developers to produce high-quality UI/UX wireframes- Developing user personas, journey maps, and wireframes for guiding the design process- Analyzing user requirements to design user-friendly interfaces- Creating graphical user interface components and prototypes to demonstrate website functionality- Conducting usability testing and gathering user feedback for design enhancement- Staying updated on industry developments and design application modifications- Ensuring design components are compatible across various browsers and screen settings- Collaborating with developers to communicate prototypes using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript- Adhering to typography and graphic design guidelines- Creating best practices for visual design, including color theory, typography, and layout cohesion- Participating in code reviews to ensure software applications meet design and usability standardsYour skills and abilities should include:- Taking ownership of projects and working independently within a team environment- Strong analytical and reasoning skills for visualizing processes and outcomes- Proficiency in understanding user requirements through workshops and creating appropriate prototypes- Responsive web design skills using various techniques- Proficiency in typography and design thinking- Ability to work with different workgroups and manage multiple projects simultaneously- Excellent time-management skills and task assignment understanding- Proficiency in modern interfaces, coding languages, and design tools such as AdobeXD, Figma, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, Angular, or React- Experience in user interaction design and working with Vector and Scalar Graphics- Familiarity with source control systems like Git and Azure DevOps- Preferred experience in the engineering industry and willingness to learn cutting-edge technologiesTo qualify for this role, you should have a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience and a Bachelors degree.
