Software Development Engineer

Job Description

You will collaborate with senior engineers to design, develop, and test software solutions for agricultural applications using Python. Additionally, you will build and optimize database-driven applications to ensure efficient data management, retrieval, and performance. You will also contribute to the full software development lifecycle, from ideation and prototyping to deployment and maintenance. Working independently and as part of a team, you will deliver high-quality, scalable code that meets business needs. Embracing diversity and inclusion, you will value diverse perspectives and foster collaborative relationships.Key Responsibilities:- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.- 5 years of software development experience with Python as the primary programming language.- Proven experience (3 years) working with databases such as SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB, including designing schemas, writing queries, and optimizing performance.- Strong technical foundation in Python frameworks (e.g., Django, Flask) and database integration.- Knowledge of cloud technologies, preferably AWS, for scalable and distributed systems.- Familiarity with Java, cloud-native solutions, or distributed systems is a plus.- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision, showing self-motivation and a proactive approach.- Passion for continuous learning and applying emerging technologies to address real-world agricultural challenges.About the Company:We are a leading science-based agriculture company empowering farmers to meet the demands of modern agriculture.
