Role Overview:You will be part of the Community Engineering Team at Workday, responsible for supporting the collaboration and content website for customers. Your role will involve designing, developing, and implementing software features to enhance the customer/partner journey within the Workday ecosystem. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality, scalable, and performant technical solutions. As a Software Development Engineer, you will play a key role in driving technical discussions, writing well-crafted code, participating in code reviews, and sharing knowledge through tech talks.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, code, test, and implement software features- Utilize next-generation technologies to enhance the customer/partner journey- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure proper workflows- Own development for features of medium to large complexity- Work in an agile environment and coordinate with distributed teams- Provide technical leadership and accountability for task assignments- Write well-tested, readable, and maintainable code- Participate in code reviews and promote tech and engineering standard processesQualifications Required:- Degree or equivalent experience in computer science, information systems, engineering, information technology, or related field- 7 years of experience in object-oriented programming and Core Java- Working experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM), Adobe Target, Adobe Dynamic Media, Spring Boot- Knowledge of using AI tools for VIBE coding- Understanding of SOLID design principles, Basic Design Patterns, and RESTful design principles- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL database implementations (e.g. MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB)- UI development experience with React, Typescript/JavaScript, HTML, (S)CSS- Good problem-solving skills and familiarity with BDD and TDD development principles- Experience in product development and working in SAFE Agile Framework- Ability to work collaboratively and explore new technologiesAdditional Company Details:Workday values flexible work arrangements that combine in-person and remote work.
