As a SET-II at Mindtickle, you will play a crucial role in influencing the product quality for an Enterprise SaaS platform. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with the Engineering team to develop a test strategy that ensures a world-class customer experience. Heres what you can expect in this role:- Develop a strong functional and architectural understanding of the product/system under test to derive the Test Plan.- Review and analyze system specifications and design documents to understand the system and narrow down likely failure cases.- Coordinate with other related teams to validate end-to-end product quality throughout the software development lifecycle.- Create, prioritize, develop, and maintain test cases for multiple features of the product.- Create Test Environment/Test bed representative of customers and end users.- Execute functional and non-functional tests including automated scripts for Cloud and Mobile applications.- Report defects supported with all the required information in the first go and triage and track reported defects to closure.- Communicate test results to identify risks and dependencies and escalate promptly.- Be responsible for either one of the Automation, Performance, or Security aspects of the product.- Apply analytical skills to identify and debug the root cause of issues.- Guide the junior members of the team.We are looking for self-motivated and detail-oriented engineers who are passionate about quality, technology, and solving interesting engineering problems. To be successful in this role, you should meet the following qualifications:- 4 - 6 years of relevant work experience, with at least 3 years of experience working on a cloud-native SaaS platform/product.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Big Data, ETL, or Analytics Testing.- Investigative Skills - Curiosity, keen observation, an eye for detail, Logical, Analytical, and Critical thinking skills, Problem-solving skills, and Excellent written and oral communication skills.- Experience in Testing: Test-to-fail mindset, test case design, test planning, test prioritization, and defect reporting.- Experience in Cloud Technologies: AWS cloud, knowledge and concepts; Microservices, Messaging brokers (Kafka / RabbitMQ / AWS SQS/SNS).- In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in API testing (REST, gRPC, GQL) with any open-source tool (Postman, GQL Playground).- Knowledge in Containerization (Docker/Kubernetes commands).- Proficiency in Databases: Relational and non-relational databases, SQL commands.- Hands-on experience in Observability and Monitoring tools like Datadog, and Sumologic to identify the root cause of the issues across the application layers.- Experience working in Agile methodology and using collaboration and test Management tools such as Confluence, Jira, and TestRail.- Self-starter, good team player, and highly motivated.Good to have:- Experience with Snowflake, CB preferred.- Coding or Scripting knowledge in any one: Javascript / Java / Python / GoLang.- Understanding of Performance Testing of SaaS/Cloud products & Security Testing.- Familiarity with Automation tools [generic test automation frameworks: data-driven, keyword driven.At Mindtickle, we prioritize creating a highly engaging and rewarding workplace.
