Your role will involve monitoring and maintaining SQL Server databases, specifically versions 2012 and above. You will play a crucial role in performing routine database backups, restores, and recovery procedures. Additionally, you will troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues using tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and DMVs. It will be your responsibility to implement and maintain database security, including roles, permissions, and encryption.
