Your role will involve performing routine database backups, restores, and recovery procedures, troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues using tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and DMVs, implementing and maintaining database security including roles, permissions, and encryption, assisting in database deployments, patching, and upgrades, as well as designing and implementing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions such as AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, Replication, and Clustering.Key Responsibilities:- Monitor and maintain SQL Server databases (2012 and above)- Perform routine database backups, restores, and recovery procedures- Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues using tools like SQL Profiler, Extended Events, and DMVs- Implement and maintain database security (roles, permissions, encryption)- Assist in database deployments, patching, and upgrades- Design and implement high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions (AlwaysOn, Log Shipping, Replication, Clustering)Qualifications Required:- 4 - 12 years of experience as a SQL Database Administrator- Strong knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2012/2019/2022)- Proficiency in T-SQL, indexing strategies, and query optimization- Understanding of database backup strategies and recovery models- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Redgate, SolarWinds, SentryOneCapgemini is a global business and technology transformation partner, helping organizations to accelerate their dual transition to a digital and sustainable world, while creating tangible impact for enterprises and society.
