This engineer will work with the Research and Development team that creates state-of-the-art software for computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis. The successful candidate will participate in the research, design, and developmentof Ansys Fluent software.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Design, develop, maintain, and extend functionality exposed in Ansys FluentParticipate in the entire development process including specification, planning, scheduling, development, testingUnderstand and follow best software practices through design and code review, testing, and validationKeep abreast of cutting-edge technologyMinimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience:Bachelors or masters degree in Computational Science, or EngineeringMinimum 5 years of experience in software development in any of the following areasUser InterfaceScientific Visualization / High performance computingComputer Graphics (experience with HOOPS 3d rendering engine is a plus)Solid, demonstrable programming skills in at least one programming language (preferably C/C /Qt/Python).Strong background in data structures, algorithms and debuggingExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsWillingness to learn, take initiative and work in a team-oriented environmentAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionAbility to mentor and guide junior staffPreferred Qualifications and Skills:An advanced degree in engineering or computational science is a plusExperience developing and debugging user interface code on Windows and/or LinuxEducation: Any GraduateIndustry: Software Services, IT-Software
