Job Description

: Product Engineer, NPI Product OperationsLocation: ThailandRemote eligible: YesExperience Level: MidNote: Google will be prioritizing applicants who have valid working rights in Thailand and do not require Googles sponsorship of a visa. Googles hybrid workplace includes remote roles.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelors in Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry, hardware design, Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) manufacturing and testing.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in Design Validation Test Plan on an electronic assembly with the knowledge of Automatic Test Equipment (ATE), Design for X (DfX), quality, and reliability.
Experience in developing solid, effective technical relationships with agreement manufacturers.
Knowledge of system, functional, and board level testing.
Ability to drive root causes analysis, corrective actions and process improvements with cross functional teams, agreement manufacturers and suppliers.
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills with the ability to produce products.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.

Lead reviews between Design and Operations Engineering to motivate deliverables that are key to implementing the manufacturing plan and test strategy.
Lead the technology assessment for new products. Work with the product team to highlight risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure product meets specifications.
Provide on-site support for pre-production builds. Ensure factory readiness, support manufacturing line bring-up, provide product debug training, and feedback on build issues. Motivate yield bridge analysis to improve product quality.
Partner with Quality Engineers to establish product quality and reliability goals. Validate product qualification plans, support reliability testing, and review results to ensure product performance meets requirements.
Coordinate release of NPI Bill of Materials (BOMs) into Product Data Management (PDM) system. Perform technical review of product changes and assess impact on the supply chain.
