Role Overview:As an Information Security Auditor at our clients rapidly growing technology firm in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, IN, you play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of the organizations information assets. Your responsibilities include conducting comprehensive security audits, identifying vulnerabilities, and recommending remediation strategies to safeguard against cyber threats. The ideal candidate for this role possesses a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk assessment frameworks, and regulatory compliance standards.Key Responsibilities:- Plan and execute internal and external information security audits to evaluate compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations.- Identify security vulnerabilities and weaknesses in systems, applications, and networks using various testing methodologies.- Develop detailed audit reports that include findings, risks, and actionable recommendations for remediation.- Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement and verify the effectiveness of security controls.- Conduct risk assessments and penetration testing to proactively identify and address potential security threats.- Ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and other relevant frameworks.- Develop and update security policies, procedures, and guidelines.- Provide training and awareness programs to employees on information security best practices.- Investigate security incidents and breaches, and contribute to the development of incident response plans.- Stay informed about the latest cybersecurity threats, trends, and technologies.Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.- Minimum of 4 years of experience in information security, IT auditing, or penetration testing.- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, protocols, and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, encryption).- Experience with vulnerability assessment tools and methodologies.- Familiarity with common security vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10).- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.- Proficiency in documenting and reporting audit findings clearly and concisely.- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CEH, or equivalent are highly desirable.- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.This opportunity offers you a chance to contribute significantly to a forward-thinking company and advance your career in the challenging and rewarding field of information security.
