Role Overview:As a Senior Software Engineer within our enterprise product domain, you will collaborate closely with your cross-functional team to design and implement new features and products. Your role will involve bringing ideas, energy, and leadership to the table with the goal of growing an engineering function that is world-class and pioneering in the retail technology space. You will work within a growth culture that is always seeking to improve or adapt to meet customer needs.Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software that aims to delight customers- Work with users and stakeholders to understand and deliver value through the product- Participate in and lead design, code, and test reviews- Practice DevOps principles, testing, and releasing software continuously- Integrate software with monitoring, observability, and support tools- Lead, coach, and mentor other engineers- Participate in team processes using Agile methodologies for continuous improvement- Share feedback and seek opportunities to enhance software quality- Exercise strong technical aptitude to drive positive change and innovation- Help troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout the product life cycle- Research new technologies that can be beneficialQualifications Required:- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in senior software development roles, with involvement across the full software development lifecycle, including production support- Extensive exposure to Agile delivery methodologies with a strong understanding of iterative and incremental development- Ability to translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and secure technical solutions- Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders- Proficiency in HTML and CSS, including cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization- Strong expertise in React.js, including component-based architecture and hooks- Advanced understanding of Redux and Redux-Saga for managing application state and asynchronous workflows- Proficient in Node.js for building scalable server-side applications and RESTful APIs- Comprehensive knowledge of TypeScript and JavaScript for client-side and server-side development- Familiarity with Redis for caching and session management- Working knowledge of DocumentDB or similar NoSQL document-based databases- Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, particularly EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) and virtual machine-based environments- Competence in test automation using tools such as Jest, Mocha, and Chai- Strong understanding of CI/CD practices with hands-on experience building and enhancing deployment pipelines- Experience designing pipelines and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code tools, preferably Terraform- Proficiency in using GitLab for source control and automation of deployment workflows- Proven ability to mentor and support engineering colleagues within a co-located or distributed team environment- Comfortable operating with autonomy and accountability in fast-paced, dynamic environments- Excellent command of English (written and spoken) Role Overview:As a Senior Software Engineer within our enterprise product domain, you will collaborate closely with your cross-functional team to design and implement new features and products.
